Our DocumentCloud plugin for WordPress makes embedding documents into posts and pages as easy as possible.

Installation

Plugin Directory (easiest)

This is the easiest installation method:

  1. In the WP Admin, find “Plugins” in the sidebar and select “Add Plugin”.
  2. Search for “DocumentCloud” — there should only be one result for the DocumentCloud plugin.
  3. Click “Install Now” — after a few seconds, the plugin should be installed.
  4. The “Install Now” button will be replaced by a blue button that says “Activate”. Click it to enable the plugin.

Usage

Block Editor

After installing the plugin, it’s easy to embed a document in WordPress’s modern Block Editor:

  1. Insert a “DocumentCloud” block

  2. Paste the URL for the document, note, or page you’d like to embed into the provided field in the block.

  3. The block will assume a responsive width, default height, and default controls for the embed. Customize the available options in the right sidebar.

  4. To change the embedded URL without deleting the block, use the “Change Document” button under the embedded document.
