Create an organization to start collaborating with your team on MuckRock.

Before You Begin

Steps

  1. Go to your organizations page.
  2. Click Create organization.
  3. Enter a name for your organization.
  4. Click Create.

Note: If an organization with a similar name already exists, you'll see a confirmation screen. Review the existing organizations to make sure you're not creating a duplicate, then click Create again to confirm.

You'll be added as the organization's first admin. From here, you can invite members, update your settings, or choose a plan.

Common Questions

Can I change my organization's name later?

Yes. Organization admins can request a name change by editing their organization’s profile. Name changes require staff approval to prevent confusion.

How many organizations can I create?

There's no limit. You can create and manage multiple organizations.

Can I delete an organization?

Contact MuckRock support to delete an organization. This ensures no data is lost unintentionally.
